UPDATE ON RECORDING PROGRESS:
Last week we laid down the vocals to an absolutely beautiful medley of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen & Breath of Heaven”, arranged for Dangerous Curves by the incredible Trini Garza (many THANKS also to Rob Hyatt of E3 Studios for always knowing just what to say and do to get us feeling comfy and singing our best in the studio). This week, our musical director Dan Ellis is helping us “curvify” a jazzy, cute arrangement of “Winter Wonderland” for the album (also arranged by our friend Trini), and next week we’ll be doing more mixing and laying down of some of the bass and drum tracks with the talented Darin Presley. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such artistically gifted and wonderful people, all working tirelessly to make this project a total success!

The love and generosity from of all of you is truly filling us with the Spirit of Christmas and we just can’t thank you enough for supporting us through this project. Stop by our Facebook page and say hello…we love hearing from you!

LATEST UPDATE: 9/28/12 Dangerous Curves’ Christmas CD!

As we head into the weekend, and into the FINAL WEEK of our IndieGogo campaign, we REALLY need your help spreading the word!

So many of you have been incredibly kind and generous, and we are SO grateful for your help (our most RECENT Curvy Contributors have been Kevin Lepine, Joann Zajac, Michael & Terri Gier, Elisa Black, and an anonymous donor from the great state of Georgia)! We have raised a little over $3500, which is AWESOME…but it also means we are still about $2,750 shy of our goal…with less than 7 days left (campaign ENDS next Friday)! AGH!!!!

We have been SUPER BUSY in the studio recording this past month, and we are almost 1/2 way through the album…we are so proud of what we’ve done so far (can’t WAIT for you to hear the finished project)! In fact, here’s a little VIDEO we shot while in the studio recording our Christmas version of “Glow Worm” this past week…check it out (the “Jingle Bells” you hear at the beginning is not actually part of the album…it’s just a little something extra we threw together…just for YOU, our Curvy friends):

Music is such an important part of our lives. Hearing a certain song can immediately take you back to an important memory in your life and it keeps that moment alive!

Have you ever wondered what it takes to record that music? It takes creativity, hard work and….money.

Our debut CD, Girl Talk, released in 2009, was completely self-funded. It was exciting and wonderful and worth every moment of work and effort…and every penny we put in. This time, however, we’d love to put our efforts and time towards the creativity and the music! And, that’s where you come in! YOU can become an integral part of our current recording project…our much awaited Christmas CD!
